Shugaa Dessert Bar Bangkok, for desserts that look and taste good
This cafe is famous for its photogenic desserts and interior. After my visit here, the desserts do taste was good as they look! It's located about 10 minutes away from Ekkamai BTS so it's pretty accessible!
You're able to recognise which cafe it is from this exterior.
The interior has many places for you to take photos at.
I visited on a weekday afternoon which made this place a good respite for a hot day. Another good thing was that the cafe wasn't crowded too!
There is also seating on the second floor and it's where they make their customised cakes.
This is the dessert bar where you get to choose your desserts, you get a separate menu for you to choose other desserts and drinks too.
I got the A10 which is made of rose tea, lychee and lemon soda with a sous vide lychee on top! It's a refreshing drink though the rose tea flavour wasn't that pronounced.
I had their signature, Mirror Mirror on the Wall. It’s mirror glazed apple caramel, double dark chocolate mousse with hazelnut crispy praline, smoked chocolate crumble, white chocolate snow, popping candy, white chocolate ball filled with raspberry sauce, crispy brownie and chocolate rocks.
The large variety of ingredients was great because it allowed me to enjoy the dessert without getting sick of it easily. The best part was that it’s not overly sweet too!
This is the CrumpB, it’s made from creme anglaise, caramelised apple, vanilla, cinnamon, earl grey and Tahiti creme! This was really light in flavour compared to the Mirror Mirror on the Wall so it was a good complement.
Apart from desserts, they do customised fondant cakes as well. So you can order full cakes from them too. They add new desserts to their menu every now and then so you can check out their Facebook or Instagram page for details!
