Good Time Eat Drink- For good local and fusion food in Siglap
Located in Siglap, Good Time Eat Drink has a variety of local, peranakan and fusion food that has good food in a homely atmosphere.
This place is decorated with a retro feel to it and you’ll get to see old movie posters on the walls too.
The Good Time Nonya Achar was appetising and had a good balance of spicy and sour flavours. We enjoyed this a lot before our meal.
We had the Hurry Hurry Chicken Curry and it’s served with a charcoal youtiao. The curry gravy was tasty, plus the chicken was tender and not dry at all too.
We also had sotong with kecap manis, a sticky sweet soy sauce. It has a strong flavour to it but it goes very well eaten with rice.
The clams in Fragrant White Clams were fresh, complemented by the Chinese wine deglaze sauce and the garlic adds flavour to the dish as well.
The Fragrant Leek Flowers is a dish that is rare in Singapore and it consists of leek flowers, salted fish and garlic. I haven’t had leek flowers much before this so I thought that it tasted quite unique and I enjoyed it too.
The Chilli Full of Crab Tofu has crispy soft shell crab perched on top of tofu drenched in chilli crab sauce. It’s very tasty just that the sauce tends to be a bit sweet but still good!
Their golden wings are actually har cheong gai and they were crispy and flavourful. These are definitely one of the better har cheong gai wings I’ve had.
The Oven Baked Nonya Sambal Barramundi was had sambal that was fragrant and it was quite a big portion too!
They have a wide variety of drinks here too. This is the Rousing Seltzer Lemongrass Mocktail. It’s very refreshing and I really enjoyed it.
This post is a compilation of 2 visits, one for a Burpple Eatup and another on my own. The service here was good and their mains are on Burpple Beyond and The Entertainer as well. They are also on Chope if you would like to make reservations. I enjoyed both visits here and look forward to my next visit soon!
